As per the renders, the bezel on the screen’s bottom chin seems reduced compared to Pixel 8a.

Google’s annual I/O Developer conference is set to take place on May 20th. The search giant unveils its mid-range Pixel A-series phone along with other hardware announcements at the event. However, rumours suggest that this year’s Pixel 9a may debut not at the I/O but as early as next month. The sub-flagship has surfaced in leaked official-looking renders giving us the best look at device so far and in the available colour options.
Pixel 9a leaked renders reveal the device from all angles
The latest renders (via) are in line with the previously leaked CAD-based renders from last year.
The Pixel 9a appears to be a compact smartphone with curved corners and a flat frame.
It is seen in Peony (Pink), Iris (Purple), Obsidian (Black), and Porcelain (White) colors.
The volume and power rocker buttons are on the right side.
The most notable change on the Pixel 9a when compared to its predecessor and premium siblings (Pixel 9 series) is in the design of back panel.
Google is ditching the horizontal protruding camera bar on the upcoming offering that was found on recent generation Pixel phones.
The camera sensors are housed in a Black-coloured pill-shaped cutout while the LED flash unit sits outside.
One of the leaked render that gives a side view of the smartphone shows that there is almost no protrusion of camera island.
We also get a look at the Pixel 9a’s front panel. It has a centre-aligned punch-hole cutout display surrounded by thin bezels.
It seems that Google has reduced the bezels on the bottom chin compared to the Pixel 8a.
As per the report, the Pixel 9a will measure 153 x 73 x 8.9mm.
the Pixel 9a will be backed by a 5,100mAh battery unit which is an upgrade on 4,492mAh on its predecessor. It will have a downgraded 48MP main camera sensor compared to 64MP. The smartphone is expected to be powered by a Tensor G4 SoC, 8GB RAM, and support for 23W wired, 7.5W wireless charging. The 128GB storage variant is said to cost $499 whereas the 256GB option will reportedly be priced at $599. The Pixel 9a could be announced on March 19 with sales commencing March 26.
