Quick note before you start: make sure your Google Photos app is updated (Play Store / App Store) — seasonal frames sometimes roll out by region, and the new Diwali frames are for India.
On Android / iPhone
Open Google Photos on your phone.
Update the app if you haven’t already (Google Play / App Store).
Tap the Create tab (or tap + / Add to in older versions).
Choose Collage.
Select 2–6 photos you want in the collage (Android up to 6; iOS similar).
When the collage editor opens, look for Layouts / Templates / Frames in the editor UI. Browse the available templates — seasonal/holiday frames (like the Diwali frames) are usually grouped or highlighted. If you see a “Diwali” or “Festival” category, pick it.
Tap a Diwali frame to apply it. Use pinch/drag to crop each photo as needed.
Tap Save (or the check mark) to export the collage to your library.
Share directly from the saved collage (Share button) to WhatsApp, Instagram, or send as a message.
