🎨 Gemini Now Lets You Turn Off the Media Watermark

Google Gemini has introduced a new option that gives users more control over watermarks on AI-generated media.

With the new Media Watermark setting, eligible Gemini users can choose whether they want to show the visible Gemini watermark on their AI-generated images, videos, and music.

✨ What Is the Gemini Media Watermark?

When Gemini creates AI-generated content, it can add a visible Gemini watermark to the media.

The new setting lets eligible users turn this visible watermark off, making the generated content look cleaner.

🖼️ What Media Does It Cover?

The setting can apply to different types of AI-generated content, including:

  • 🖼️ AI-generated images

  • 🎬 AI-generated videos

  • 🎵 AI-generated music

This means users have more control over how their AI-generated content appears.

⚙️ How to Turn Off the Watermark

If the option is available on your account:

  1. Open Gemini.

  2. Go to Settings ⚙️.

  3. Look for Media watermark.

  4. Turn off Show watermark.

  5. Generate your media again.

The setting may not be available to everyone yet.

🇮🇳 What About Free Users in India?

There is an important point for users in India.

According to Google's current information, the option to turn off the visible watermark is available in India only with a Google AI Ultra subscription.

So, if you're using Gemini for free in India, you may still see the Gemini watermark.

🔐 Does This Remove All Watermarks?

No.

Turning off the visible watermark does not completely remove Google's AI identification technology.

Gemini-generated content can still contain SynthID, an invisible watermark designed to identify AI-generated content.

AI-generated media may also include C2PA Content Credentials, which provide information about the content's origin.

So, you can remove the visible Gemini watermark, but the invisible identification remains.

🚀 Why Is This Update Useful?

This feature is useful for people who create AI-generated images, videos, or music and want their content to have a cleaner appearance.

It also gives users more control over how Gemini-generated media looks when they share or use it.

📌 Quick Summary
