WhatsApp is working on some changes to make two-step verification stronger and easier to use.
🔑 Password Instead of 6-Digit PIN
Currently, WhatsApp uses a 6-digit PIN for two-step verification.
In the future, WhatsApp may allow users to create a stronger password instead of using only a 6-digit PIN.
A longer password can be harder for someone else to guess.
📱 Trusted Devices
WhatsApp is also working on trusted devices.
If you mark a device as trusted, WhatsApp may not ask you to enter your security details again and again on that device.
This could make using WhatsApp more convenient.
🛡️ Better Security + Easy Login
The main goal is simple:
🔐 Stronger passwords = better security
📱 Trusted devices = fewer repeated verification requests
⚡ Easier and safer WhatsApp experience
The feature is still being developed, so the final version may change before it becomes available to everyone.
